Balance Rock, Southern Idaho
Near Castleford and Buhl, in Southern Idaho, this balloon-shaped tower of stone, 40 feet in height, was carved by nature high above the surrounding desert.

17 miles southwest of Buhl Idaho, near the town of Castleford, you'll find this question mark shaped formation, known as Balanced Rock. A beautiful park is nearby offering picnicking and swimming in Salmon Falls Creek.

Balance Rock is 55 feet wide, 48 feet tall and over 40 tons but only 3 feet by 17 inches at the base.
