Lucy is concerned with Ricky's behavior while they eat breakfast. He reads the newspaper and never answers any of her questions. He doesn't even notice when she leaves the room.

Ethel, seeing Lucy is upset, tries to offer advice by recommending a book: How to Keep the Honeymoon from Ending by Dr. Humphries. Ethel reads to Lucy who can't believe how accurate the book is. Following the book's idea Lucy decides to dress up and look glamorous for Ricky tomorrow.

Wearing an evening gown with her hair and makeup perfect, Lucy greets Ricky only to find no difference in his behavior.

Chapter two of the book suggests that Lucy join in Ricky's hobbies. Lucy decides to join Ricky and Fred in their poker game. Unwittingly, Lucy keeps winning. First with a full house and then with a "pair" of a six and nine. The result was an angry Ricky who continues to ignore her.

Chapter three suggests that Lucy remind Ricky of his childhood. With Ethel's help, Ricky returns home to find a Spanish decorated apartment with a burro to boot. Remembering that Ricky's mother was a singer and dancer, Lucy performs along with a record of Carmen Miranda. Hilarity ensues when the record speeds up and slows down with Lucy trying to keep up. Ricky convinces her that he loves just the way she is.

Epcot's Ride: Soarin'

Epcot - Walt Disney World Orlando

Soarin -
Take a free-flying adventure across the natural wonders of the Golden State (California) aboard this thrilling Disney attraction.

This is one of my favorite rides in Epcot!  Make sure you ask for 'row 1' when you go, even if you have to wait a little bit longer, (that will be the top row inside, then peoples feet won't be waving in front of you during the show) also, TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES!  you feel so much better, and will enjoy it much more.

Enrique "Ricky" Martín Morales (born December 24, 1971), better known as Ricky Martin, is a Puerto Rican pop singer and actor who achieved prominence, first as a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo, then as a solo artist since 1991. Throughout his career, he has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. He is the founder of the Ricky Martin Foundation (in Spanish Fundación Ricky Martin), a non-profit charity organization aimed at human trafficking.

He also acted on stage and on TV in Mexico, becoming a modest star in the country. In 1994 he starred on the American TV soap opera General Hospital, playing a Puerto Rican singer. In 1999, after several albums in Spanish, he released his first English-language album (also titled Ricky Martin), which included "Livin' la Vida Loca". The album sold 22 million copies and brought Martin international fame.

Giewont is a mountain in the Tatra Mountains of Poland. It comprises three peaks: Small Giewont, Great Giewont and Long Giewont.

On Great Giewont, there is a 15 m steel cross that is the site of many religious pilgrimages. (You can see it on the right hand side of the mountain range in the above postcard).  Unfortunately, the area is also notorious for its hazardous conditions during thunderstorms, so this should be taken into consideration when traveling to that location.

Arizona - Jerome and Mingus Mountain at Night

Night View of Jerome and Mingus Mountain, Arizona

This is a reproduction of photograph taken at midnight; exposure 35 minutes.  Stars formed light streaks in sky due to movement of earth during this period.  Breaks in these streaks were caused by covering the lens whenever automobile headlights shone directly at camera.  Highway through town appears as a bright line due to lights of constantly moving automobile travel.

Moon Jellies - Jellyfish

Moon Jellies - (Aurelia aurita)
Jellyfish
Australian National Maritime Museum

Named for their ghostly, translucent bells, they are abundant in temperate and tropical waters worldwide.  Their delicate bodies pulse and drift with effortless grace.  The moon jelly's short tentacles are armed with stinging cells, called "nematocysts," but the sting lacks the toxic, painful punch of other jellies.  Although they're 95 percent water, moon jellies are the main course for leatherback sea turtles and other marine creatures.  Thousands of animals die annually from mistakenly swallowing drifting plastic bags, which resemble the gelatinous jellies.

The Pennsylvania State Capitol is the seat of government for the U.S. state of Pennsylvania and is in downtown Harrisburg. It was designed in 1902 in a Beaux-Arts style with Renaissance themes throughout.

The seat of government for the state was originally in Philadelphia, then was relocated to Lancaster in 1799 and finally to Harrisburg in 1812. The current capitol, known as the Huston Capitol, is the third state capitol building to be built in Harrisburg. The first, the Hills Capitol, was destroyed in 1897 by a fire and the second, the Cobb Capitol, was left unfinished when funding was discontinued in 1899.

Joseph Miller Huston designed the current capitol and it was dedicated in 1906.

Josta Energy Drink from Pepsi

Josta with Guarana

Unleash it.

Go Card, unused free advertising postcard

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Josta was a soft drink brand that was produced by PepsiCo and the first energy drink ever introduced by a major US beverage company. Josta's flavor has been described as predominately fruity, with a hint of spice and a touch of the key ingredient guaraná. It was marketed as a "high-energy drink" with guaraná and caffeine.

Josta was introduced in 1995, but PepsiCo pulled the drink from its lineup due to a change in corporate strategy in 1999. Shortly before the beverage was discontinued, an "Association for Josta Saving" was started. A "Save Josta" campaign was also launched by fans of the drink.

Moucha Island is a small coral island off the coast of Djibouti. It is located at the center of the Gulf of Tadjoura.
Around it there are many popular diving sights.

- - - -

A coral island is formed by small organisms called polyps. Polyps are the builders of coral. These tiny organisms protect themselves by building small walls of limestone around their bodies. These creatures live in small colonies, and over millions of years, these ‘settlements’ become reefs, and then turn into islands.

Moorea, French Polynesia - a Surprise Postcard of Me!

My amazing and wonderful hubby surprised me by making this postcard of me on his iPhone using 'Color Splash' and having it sent to me.

The back reads:
On our 25th anniversary "around the world" trip, we spent time enjoying God's wonderful creation.  As I looked around, my eyes could only focus on the bright colors radiating from the beauty that was before me ....

Here is to the love of my life!!
I love you,
Your hubby!!!

This was taken in Moorea, French Polynesia in 2012.  We took a trip for 25 days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.  We left Florida and went half way around the world to Australia, then cruised our way to New Zealand, Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Hilo Hawaii, and ended in Honolulu Hawaii before heading back to Florida.  We had weather like you see in the postcard every day - God is Good!

A group of sailors led by Joseph Whidbey, part of the Vancouver Expedition, found and mapped Deception Pass on June 7, 1792. George Vancouver gave it the name "Deception" because it had misled him into thinking Whidbey Island was a peninsula.

The Deception Pass Bridge was completed on on July 31, 1935.  It is  976-foot (297 m) long and connects Whidbey Island to the tiny Pass Island, and Pass Island to Fidalgo Island. Prior to the bridge, travellers and businessmen would use an inter-island ferry to commute between Fidalgo and Whidbey islands.
