Marmots are large squirrels in the genus Marmota. They mostly live in mountainous areas

The groundhog of North America is a lowland marmot.

Marmots typically live in burrows (often within rock piles), and hibernate there through the winter.

Most marmots are highly social and use loud whistles to communicate with one another, especially when alarmed.

Cute card. They look like prairie dogs. I think there are marmots in Colorado, which makes sense since your info mentioned that they live in mountainous areas.
