Sci Fi Channel presents the continuing sage of Frank Herbert’s Dune in its new miniseries, Frank Herbert’s children of Dune, based on the second and third books in his popular series.  After gaining control of the desert planet Dune and bending an empire to his will, Paul Maud’dib now faces a conspiracy that aims to take his life and reclaim control of the Spice.  Paul’s fate, and that of all of humanity, rests in the hands of his son, Leto.  Restless and idealistic, Leto can’t resist his destiny and he must risk himself to save those he loves and those who would destroy him.

Children of Dune is a three-part miniseries written by John Harrison and directed by Greg Yaitanes. It was first broadcast in the United States on March 16, 2003.
In 2003, the critically acclaimed miniseries won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects.
