Umana Yana (Thatched Hut) from Guyana

Umana Yana is Wai-Wai for "meeting place of the people." It is 55 feet tall (16.78 meters) and was built by a group of Wai-Wai Indians in 1972.  This type of Amerindian thatched hut is called a benab it can be found in Kingston, Georgetown, Guyana.
