The Neapolitan Mastiff or Italian Mastiff is a large, ancient dog breed.
A male Neapolitan Mastiffs should measure 26–31 inches (66–79 cm) at the withers and weigh 130–155 pounds (60-70 kg), while females should measure 24–29 inches (61–74 cm) and weigh 110–130pounds (50–60 kg).
The Neapolitan Mastiff is not a breed for most people, and certainly not a dog for beginners. They are large, powerful dogs and sometimes they do not always know their own strength.
Great Britain stamp 2013,
Cyberman from Doctor Who, 2nd

The Cybermen are a fictional race of cyborgs who are amongst the most persistent enemies of the Doctor in the British science fiction television series, Doctor Who. Cybermen were originally a wholly organic species of humanoids originating on Earth's twin planet Mondas that began to implant more and more artificial parts into their bodies as a means of self-preservation. This led to the race becoming coldly logical and calculating, with every emotion deleted from their minds.

ReplyDeleteThose are British stamps LOL....anyway using `Germany Stamps` as adjective is incorrect diction
ReplyDeletehaha! Thanks, Butterflypostcard.... I wrote it correctly on the bottom, but not by the card. I fixed it though - thanks again for letting me know, I try very hard to list everything correctly.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help thinking of the song "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window."
ReplyDeleteI have been hoping for a Dr Who stamp......
ReplyDeleteand coincidentally, I just read that the current Dr is leaving after this season.
I wonder how the Queen feels about sharing a stamp with a Cyberman.
ReplyDeleteThe cyberman stamps was either on the minisheet or in the booklet, and were not easy to get at the Post Office - I tried!
ReplyDeleteI like the 'Doctor's enemies' mini sheet, looks even more spooky as an individual stamps.
ReplyDeleteMy bestfriend is a big fan of Dr. Who. Seeing the stamp you posted here, I'm more enticed to see the series too!
ReplyDeleteI did not know they made dr. Who stamps! I hope to get one someday. Thank you for joining us this week.
ReplyDeleteI forgot the Dr Who stamps had been issued. But then that magnificent painting of the mastiff almost made me not look at the stamps.
ReplyDeleteI have the full set of Dr Who stamp cards and most of the stamps too. I can't bring myself to part with them even though I bought them specifically for sending out.
ReplyDeletePS. Thank you for the link to the International Postcard Week site. I will mark the date carefully this year.
ReplyDeleteIt's my first time to see Dr. Who on a stamp. Thanks for sharing.
