Wisconsin - In Memory of Mom (1945-2007)

Wisconsin Scenic Sunrise

This was postmarked in 2006.

My mom sent me hundreds of postcards over the years. Most were from northern Wisconsin, where she lived all of her life. (except a couple of years in Illinois) She always had a song to sing, usually Elvis, and a smile and a joke. Last week the doctor asked her how she was feeling, and she replied without missing a beat, "with my fingers" lol

I love you mom.

Ivan and Doris Schoen have spent most of their lives in Suriname, South America, witnessing to the Wayana Indians. When they first arrived, (in 1961) the Indians did not even have a written language, so they had absolutely no Scripture. The Schoens learned the language, then created a written form, and proceeded to teach the Wayanas how to read and write their own language. The Schoens have devoted over thirty-five years translating the Word of God into the Wayana language. Their New Testament has been printed, and Bible and Literature Missionary Foundation has completed the printing of their first Old Testament, so the Wayana Indians will now have the complete Word of God!
