This is a Postcrossing Meet-up postcard signed by five members.  It is postmarked in 2017 from Finland with two stamps.

The markka. Markka banknotes and coins ceased to be legal tender on 28 February 2002. Finland's monetary unit was the markka from 1860 until the introduction of the euro. 

The markka was divided into 100 pennies (penniä).

Posti ran a campaign in fall 2016 to collect photos of faces from the public for a special stamp publication to mark Finland's centenary of independence. The thousands of photos come together like a mosaic to form different stamps, which are positioned on the sheet in the form of the map of Finland. Each stamp and booklet will be unique.

"These stamps are worth a close look, as receivers and senders might spot their own face or the faces of acquaintances on them," says Tommi Kantola, Design Manager at Posti.

This is an unused postcard featuring a metallic Watering Can with embossed flowers, a real Indian Head penny is attached and Good Luck is written in glitter.

The Indian Head one-cent coin, also known as an Indian Penny, was produced by the United States Mint from 1859 to 1909 at the Philadelphia Mint and in 1908 and 1909 at the San Francisco Mint.

I paid $4.00 for this card, the value of the penny is about $3.00  :D

The ruble or rouble is the currency of the Russian Federation, it is subdivided into 100 kopeks.

Currently there is no official symbol for the ruble, though the abbreviation руб. is in wide use.

According to the most popular version, the word "rouble" is derived from the Russian verb руби́ть (rubit'), meaning to chop.

  

 

50,000 Silver Dollar Bar in Montana

50,000 Silver $ Bar

The largest collection of its kind is displayed in this unique bar in Western Montana.  This 50,00 plus Silver Dollar collection was started by Gerry and Marie Lincoln.  Now in their fourth generation, the Lincoln family continues the Silver Dollar collection.  People from all over the world have their names inscribed.  Over $2,500 are embedded in the bar top with the remainder graciously adorning the surrounding walls.  The total facility includes a restaurant, motel, gas station, convenience store, and Montana's largest gift shop.

I really enjoy finding oddball and unique sights on my trips, and this place definitely fit the bill.  It was quite an impressive display to see in person!  The coins cover ALL the surrounding walls, not just the walls in the photo.

Bahrain (officially the Kingdom of Bahrain) is an archipelago of 33 islands, the largest being Bahrain Island, at 55 km (34 mi) long by 18 km (11 mi) wide. Saudi Arabia lies to the west and Qatar is to the southeast across the Gulf of Bahrain. 

Known for its oil and pearls, Bahrain is also home to many large structures, including the Bahrain World Trade Center and the Bahrain Financial Harbour.

When the United States government began minting coins in 1792, the original United States Mint facility in Philadelphia was hard-pressed to produce enough currency for our small country.

As the country grew and the demand for coins increased, it became necessary to expand Mint facilities. This expansion was further fueled by the discovery of gold, first in the Southeast and later in the West, and the need for hard currency which caused people to mint their own gold coins. In the mid-nineteenth century, additional mints were opened in Charlotte, NC; Dahlonega, GA; New Orleans, LA; and San Francisco, CA. In 1870, the Carson City, NV Mint opened, and in 1904 the Denver, CO Office became a mint facility. Today, in order to keep our economy flowing smoothly, the United States Mint maintains facilities in Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, and West Point, and a bullion depository in Fort Knox, KY.

The number of coins minted today is astounding. Denver and Philadelphia alone produce 65 million to 80 million coins a day.

Build a large Mouse Trap.  Disguise the front entrance as a palatial mansion:  take an empty flour sack, fill with rubbish and print a dollar sign on it.  Hang on for bait.  Scatter a few loose coins about the entrance for effect and await results.

This is postmarked in 1908 with a one cent stamp. It was sent to "Miss Alice" from Henry and the only thing he writes is: I hope you have good luck in the race. Best Wishes, Henry

The Bahamian Dollar is on par with the U.S. Dollar. The $3 bill and the 15c coin make great souvenirs!

I believe this unused postcard came from Spain. It is what a Cuban 5 Pesos bill looked like in 1896.
