There is a lot of small writing printed on the back of this postcard.  I put it into a translator and got this.... 

-25 C. Poradny vitr. Misty skoro 2m snehu. Nekdy nebylo videt ani na krok. Tak vypadal zacatek brezna r.  2018 na hrebenu Krkonos.  Byla to ma vubec prvni zimni horska solo vyprava, naslapal jsem za nekolik dni desitky km s cca 20 kg batohem.  Asi me nejnarocnejsi foceni.   Krkosose jsem do te doby temer neznal. Z lavinovych oblasti jsem mel respekt, nekdy vsak bylo nutne pro dobry zaber trochu zariskovat -jako treba v tomto pripade.  Nastesti jsem si krom lehcich omrzlin v obliceji privezl dumu nejen zazitky, ale i nekolik slusnych fotografi.  Ty najdete i na mem facebookovem profilu.

-25 C. Poradny vitr. Misty almost 2m of snow. Sometimes it was not even a step. That was the beginning of March 2018 on the ridge of Krkonoše. It was the first winter horska solo carriage, I trampled in a few days a dozen km with about 20 kg of a backpack. Probably my most intimate picture. I did not know Krkosose until now. I had respect from the avalanche areas, but sometimes it was necessary for me to take a bit of a risk - as is the case in this case. I grew up beside the light frostbite in my face bringing the house not only to the sounds, but also to some sophisticated photographers. You can also find them on my facebook profile.

Snow is on all the mountains up here but we have lucked out on the weather so far.  We toured this park yesterday and saw caribou, grizzly bear, moose and sheep.  We also saw a new bird.  We will take the train ride of 8 hours next to Anchorage and then fly out on Tuesday.  The temp has been in the 20's and it doesn't warm up much.

I think this lodge is now the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge.
However I did find out that when it was the Harper Lodge, it was named after Walter Harper. . . .

At the age of 21, Harper became the first climber to reach the 20,320-foot summit of Mt. McKinley, (Now called Mout Denali),   the highest peak in North America.

The history-making moment happened on June 7, 1913.

The Bastei is a rock formation towering 194 metres above the Elbe River in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Germany. Reaching a height of 305 metres above sea level, the jagged rocks of the Bastei were formed by water erosion.

The Bastei has been a tourist attraction for over 200 years. In 1824, a wooden bridge was constructed to link several rocks for the visitors. This bridge was replaced in 1851 by the present Bastei Bridge made of sandstone.

The Dos Valires Tunnel is a major road tunnel in Andorra linking the two upper Andorran parishes of La Massana and Encamp. It is 2.922 kilometres (1.816 mi) long.

The construction of the tunnel was started in 2005 but was halted in 2009 after one of the viaducts at the La Massana entrance collapsed and killed 5 Portuguese construction workers.

Glaciers in Kyrgystan are so numerous (about 3,000 of them) and cover so much space (6,500 km2) that some of them remain nameless.  Their slow descent forms the valleys of the Tien-Shan mountain range, second only to the Himalayas for its numerous peaks.  The highest one, Pobedy Peak, is 7,439 m high.  At the heart of Central Asia, surrounded by Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Kasakhstan, the Kygys territory is thus perched at an average height of over 3,000 m.   High mountains cover close to 95% of the area, leaving very little space for sedentary agriculture.  In fact, the whole country remains attached to its nomadic tradition, which is still very much alive today.

Montserrat is a multi-peaked rocky range located near the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), Montgrós (1,120 m) and Miranda de les Agulles (903 m).

It is well known as the site of the abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which is identified by some with the location of the Holy Grail in Arthurian myth.

I had so much fun at Disneyland.  We rode all the rides we could or wanted to ride then we went and saw the free things like "America the Beautiful".  It's a tour of America in a panoramic view.   The people that did this film took 9 cameras and put them on a platform so you can see where you're going and also where you had been.  It was really fascinating.  I will write some more soon.

The Matterhorn Bobsleds is an attraction composed of two intertwining steel roller coasters, which opened in 1959 at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It is modeled after the Matterhorn, a mountain in the Swiss Alps. It is the first tubular steel continuous track roller coaster ever constructed and thus an ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) Coaster Landmark.

Located on the border between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, it employs forced perspective to seem more impressively large. Throughout the day, climbers dressed in Swiss mountain-climbing garb may be seen scaling the peak, often accompanied by Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse and Goofy.
