Face from Bayon Temple, Cambodia

Bayon Temple
Siem Reap
Cambodia

the sender writes, 'The giant smiling face of Bayon is one of the most recognizable symbols of Cambodia. The temple itself is composed of 216 faces on 54 standing towers (4 faces each) representing the provinces of the ancient Khmer empire. Who the faces represent remains a mystery up to now.'
