South Carolina Governor's Mansion
Columbia, South Carolina
Built in 1855 as officer's barracks of the Arsenal Academy, it is the only building of the school to escape Sherman's burning. Landscaped and remodeled, the building is now a showplace for tourists.

This is postmarked in 2009 with a 27 cent star fruit stamp and a 1 cent American Kestrel stamp.
