Jij de Luchtverkeersbeveiliging (LVB) kun je leren vliegtuigen veilig te begeleiden in overvliegen, opstijgen of landen.  Een unieke opleiding, waarvoor je nog betaald krijgt ook.  Maar je kiest dan ook bewust voor een echt vak.  Een vak dat een enorm beroep doet op je zelfstandigheid en stressbestendigheid.  De selectietraining die in september '97 start is zonder meer pittig.  Om hieraan mee te mogen doen moet je tussen de 17 en 26 jaar zijn en een HAVO?VWO-diploma hebben met een voldoende voor Engels en wiskunde.  Ben je eenmaal door de selectie, dan ga je minstens drie jaar aan de studie.  Je volgt vakken als luchtvaartwetgeving, radiocommunicatie, meteorologie en navigatie.  De opgedane kennis breng je meteen in de praktijk op simulators.  Zo ben je straks helemaal klaar voor het uiterst verantwoordelijke vak van luchtverkeersleider.
