A Few Namesakes:
Harvard named a building, Emerson Hall after him.
The Emerson String Quartet, formed in 1976, took their name from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
The Ralph Waldo Emerson Prize is awarded annually to high school students for essays on historical subjects.
