Cayo Largo del Sur in Cuba

Cayo Largo
La Isla que usted merece
(The island you deserve)

Cayo Largo
Visitarlo es transportarse a un pasado tranquilo, sereno y virgen con abundante sol y un inmenso mar azul, es sentirse dueno de un autentico paraiso, donde el ruido mayor es el golpear de las olas o el arrullo del viento fresco.

Cayo Largo
To visit this place is like going into the past.  It is a wonderful place to rest because it is calm and almost unexplored with abundant sunshine and a great sea.  Its like feel the owner of an authentic paradise where the biggest sound you can hear is the beat of the waves and the whispering of the fresh wind.

Song: You Are My Sunshine - On a Wooden Postcard

You are my sunshine my only sunshine
You make me Happy when skies are gray

This wood postcard is postmarked in 2016 with two stamps featuring planets.

- - - - - - -

"You Are My Sunshine" is a popular song recorded by Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell and first recorded in 1939. It has been declared one of the state songs of Louisiana because of its association with Davis, a country music singer and former governor of the state.

The 1940 version by Davis has been added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress on March 21, 2013 for long-term preservation.

Here are the lyrics . . .

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
So I hung my head, and I cried

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

I'll always love you and make you happy
If you will only say the same
But if you leave me to love another,
You'll regret it all one day

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

Please don't take my sunshine away
