Independence Day, (the main release was on July 3, 1996) is an American science fiction action film. The film focuses on a group of people who unite in the Nevada desert in the aftermath of a worldwide attack by aliens. Along with the rest of the world, they launch a counterattack on July 4 – Independence Day in the United States.
