Although there's little hope, I always hope there are a few remaining Tasmanian tigers hiding off in the bush somewhere. A great book about searches for them is Carnivorous Nights.
They have some pretty scary ones too!! I've been there once, but was only able to stay in Sydney. It was wonderful, but unfortunately, I didn't get to see any fun animals. One of my top 10 (daydream) bucket list goals was to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef and see some sharks.

Australia has some very interesting looking animals.
There is a lot of places to hide, so here's to hope!
