The Monument to Space Conquerors in Russia

The Monument to "Space Conquerors" was erected in 1964 in honor of The first artificial Earth satellite launching.  The monument is situated on the Alley of Space Heroes.
The architects M. Barsch and A. Kolchin,
sculptor A. Faidysh-Krandievskiy.

This postcard is postmarked in 2014 with two Russia stamps.  One of them is about space!

The monument is 110 meters (360.9 feet) tall, has 77° incline, and is made of titanium. The Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics is located inside the base of the monument.
