World Famous National Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum, Oklahoma City
The National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center is the world's largest museum of Western heritage and art, surrounded by sparkling fountains, flag esplanade, and beautiful gardens commanding a magnificent view from atop Persimmon Hill. Welcoming you like a pioneer camp on the Western plains, the extensive art collections and West of Yesterday settings enable visitors to relive the bold excitement of the Old West through paintings, sculpture, historical, and rodeo exhibits. Sponsored by the people of the 17 Western states, the Center has been toured by millions of visitors since opening on June 16, 1965 and was proclaimed a National Memorial by an Act of Congress.
