The Big Guitar has its place in the 1991 edition of the Guinness Book of Records as the 'Worlds Largest Playable Guitar'.
Made by a member of the Narrandera Country Music Association Mr Robert Palmer; as a tribute to their interest in country music and as a focus for their association, the guitar took 300 hours to complete. Played as a bass guitar, two musicians are necessary due to its size.
