Fort George
St. George, Grenada W.I.

This postcard was mailed from Grenada in 2018.

The sender writes:
We walked in-front of this fort.  We Loved Grenada!

Fort George is located on the promontory to the west of the harbor.  It was built in 1705 by the French.  As of now many of the buildings are used by the police.

Much of the fort is still intact and open to visitors. However, the buildings are very dilapidated, from a combination of Hurricane damage and neglect.
