Ceremony at the Bermuda Cenotaph

One of the many colourful ceremonies held at the Bermuda Cenotaph in Hamilton.

This is postmarked in 1953 with two Bermuda stamps.

one on the right: 1938 St. David's Lighthouse - 3.d
on the left: home and garden 1936 - 6.d

This monument pays homage to the fallen Bermudian soldiers of World War I and World War II. It attracts visitors and locals alike who want to pay their respects to both soldiers they know, and those they don't know. The stone memorial is a mirror image of the larger, more famous version in London.

You can see the Cabinet Building in the back.
