The First Permanent Home in Utah

First Permanent Home in Utah

Erected on the Weber River in 1845 my Miles Goodyear, mountain man.  Made of cottonwood logs with roof of poles, rushes and dirt.  The cabin served as a pioneer home for years, then as a blacksmith shop.  Now located at the Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum, 2148 Grant. Ave., Ogden, Utah.

This is postmarked in 2009 with a USA 42 cent Abraham Lincoln stamp.
