The Trade Room, Old Fort Niagara

The Trade Room, French Castle
Old Fort Niagara

Here the Indians brought their bales of rich beaver pelts to barter with the French, and later with the English. In return they received blankets, fancy colored material, beads, simple cooking utensils powder and lead, firearms and firewater. Old Fort Niagara, 14 miles from the Falls, is open to visitors the year 'round.

Curteicholor postcard

it is an old postcard, but postmarked in 2009 with a 27 cent and one cent stamp

I love how they give you all the information, but don't tell you where this is, other than 14 miles from the Falls!

In case you wanted to know, it is in Youngstown, New York
